Third song from the album “The Great Annihilator” (), written by Michael Gira. Throughout the song, Gira speaks to a woman, thanking her for going insane, which seems to please him deeply.

It is time for album [insert run into the ground Beatles joke here] The Great Annihilator. With this album I wasn't really sure as to what I would be getting out of this, as with the previous LP's in Swans catalogue I was somewhat aware as to what I was receiving, more specifically when it came to sister albums.

The end of the trilogy and nearing the end of Swans' studio discography. Moving on to this album specifically, I find it to be far slower than the previous two, not so focused on pure repetition but rather just a very slow, instrumental builds to some kind of climax. And I love it.

The Swans changed and the rest is history. This CD came out in at the height of the alternative rock craze. However, this does not sound like any alternative band. You cannot even call this Goth. This is just something of its own. The Swans are one of the most unique musical entities of all time/5(49).
